I did love Massive Monkeys and Supercrew very much also on the ABDC TV show also! Dynamic Edition was the sick uber talented clogging team from rural Alabama in the 3rd or 4th season of ABDC. They were cool how they had tons of talent and have done hundreds if not thousands of hours practicing and rehearing their hip hop clogger moves together. They were also cool for coming from the sticks and doing something unexpected coming from a small southern town. They all had crazy choreography and killer dance moves! Their leader and front man, Brandon has been on one of those other So You Think You Can Dance or America's Got Talent reality contest shows. You can see the group with different members in various stages. Brandon, the founder is always in the group, but the girls sometimes change or switch out. You can see them compete in clogging competitions, and watch other large groups of hip hop clogging dance crews out there. If you have the time or the interest I recommend looking up Dynamic Edition YouTube videos and watch them perform at the high school for the kids in the basketball gymnasium! They still look great and can really rock out even without all the show biz and hollywood lighting, stage effects, editing, camera slow motion, and multiple camera angles.
Dynamic Edition has been my favorite dance crew so far on America's Best Dance Crew on MTV6/14/2011
In The movie version of the Gilbert and Sullivan play/opera/comedy THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE made in 1980 you see one of the best on screen dancers ever! He is not a hip and cool flashy dancer like Michel Jackson in Thriller, he plays an awkward goofy bobbie English police officer in the mid to late 1800's. The mans name is TONY AZITO he was very tall, skinny, and lanky and athletic. I think he was around 6 foot 5 at least! Well just like the famous dancer Tommy Tune who I will talk about more in a future blog post, he was a tall lanky Abraham Lincoln body type with some sick dance moves! In the movie the actor tony Azito is a triple threat he can sing, dance and act, he nails the part of the goofball scaredy cat cop! The movie is very well photographed, very entertaining and funny to me! If you like the film you might also like the film of the stage comedy NOISES OFF staring Michel Caine and John Ritter and a young hot Nickollette Sheridan walking around in sexy lingerie! The Pirates of Penzance movie was on cable TV all the time in 1997 and 1998! I used to watch it when ever it came on! I saw this film about 20 times the summer of 1998!My favorite part in the whole film are Tony Azitos acrobatic scenes where he gets hit and does a head over heels backwards summersault! He also steala the show when the cops fight the pirates during the performance of the stage play HmS Pinafore! Tony Azito can manuaver and thrust his body with great percision and control! His scene where a pirate throws him off the stage and he does a summersult off the stage is amazing to watch! I could watch that athletic acrobatic dance move over and over! Tony Azito did a horror film that was an anthology, thats where the horror film has 3 short stories rather than one plot through the whole film!
I really miss Mr.Six Flags the bald old man in a black suit and red bow tie with big glasses dancer6/11/2011
Because of internet research I now know who Mr.Six Flags is. He is famous in the dancing concert stage production producer world. I emailed him off his website about his dancing but did not yet hear back from him. He looks like a sharp dressed gay male Terry Savalas from the TV show Kojak.
On YouTube you can watch the dance moves from the circa 2000's Six Flags theme park Mr.Six old man dancing commercials. I like the one where they show the dance moves in slow motion so you can see how he does it! I first thought my what a talented old man, where did they find this really old guy? When the commercial first came out in the early part of the 2000's. The Mr.six dancers walking around at the theme parks are not the same actor! Just try to do his dance moves like he does in the commercial, unless your ready to be on stage as a professional dancer, you won't be able to balance your body and cordinate your arms and legs like he does in the commercial! Everytime I watch it I'm just blown away! No matter how many hip hop dance classes I take I don't know if I will ever be able to become as good as Mr.Six Flags! Watch his dancing up on YouTube and tell me that guy doesn't have sick moves and excellent body cordination! Vanilla Ice gets a bad rap, he is to blame for much of his burn out reputation by the lack of confidence he had in his own skin, always trying to hard to be a bad boy rocker or rapper years after he was no longer a celebrity! He admits to using to much cocaine! But in the late 1980's he was sick, one hell of a really cool bad ass dancer and performer! If you look him up on you tube you can see a home movie of him and his black friends dancing on the street and doing crazy backflips in the streets of Miami circa 1988! I think it was 1989 or 1990 that ICE ICE BABY came out and hit big, he had the black mofia threaten his life if he didn't give them a producer credit and big pay cut of his album they never had anything to do with! When he was the white boy who was an excellent dancer in the Miami clubs dancing on stage he blew people away with his moves! You might think I'm putting you on or trying to be funny, but I'm serious that Vanilla Ice was one of the best dancers of the late 1980's and early 1990's. I do like the music and beat of the song ICE ICE BABY still to this day. Just go to Youtube to watch his music video or live concert on stage for ICE ICE BABY and tell me him and his friends can't dance up a storm and out dance most performers out their today! He made his dancing look both cool and like it's easy for him to do! All these hip hop dance moves we learn in hip hop dancing class, are some of the same movies he and his back up dancer friends did back in 1989! I have taken 2 semester long hip hop dancing classes at 2 different colleges the instructors were a black woman now around age 33 and a black man now in his 40s, they both were great teachers overall and great at dancing! I would love to see more musician rock or rap or even country or reggae celebrities who really know how to dance and are naturally gifted at it!

I'm not very good at dancing, but I get a real kick out of hip hop dancing classes! I like it when I feel confident in myself moving my arms, legs, and body around while dancing and not being self conscious just having lots of fun and a good time Archives
